MDU Law Entrance Test

Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak conducts it paper-pen based law entrance test known as MDU Law Entrance Test for admission to its three-year LLB (Honors) and five-year LLB (Honors) courses.

MDU Law Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria

For LLB (Hons) 3-year
  1. Candidate should have successfully completed their Bachelor/Master degree with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks from a recognised university.
For LLB (Hons) 5-year
  1. Candidate should have successfully completed their class 12 or Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognised Board/University.

MDU Law Entrance Test Application Process

  1. Candidates can download the application form online by visiting the official website http://mdu.ac.in/

  2. The Scanned copy of Photograph, Signature and Thumb Impression (LTI) ensuring that all required scan images should be in .jpeg format with below specification:-
    Size of the photo image must be less than 50 KB
    Size of the signature image must be less than 30 KB
    Size of Thumb Impression must be less than 50 KB

  3. The completely filled in application form should be submitted to the following address

MDU Law Entrance Test Syllabus

  • For LLB (Hons) 3-year: Standard of questions will be as may be expected of a graduate who has not made any special study in any of the areas given.

  • For LLB (Hons) 5-year:The standard of questions will be that of 12th standard as prescribed by the Board of School of Education, Haryana. 

MDU Law Entrance Test Exam Pattern

Following is the paper pattern for MDU Law Entrance Test:

No. of questions: Each paper will carry 100 questions of one mark each
Duration - 75 minutes

For LLB (Hons) 3 year -

a) General English - 25 Qs
b) General Hindi - 20 Qs
c) Reasoning and Legal Aptitude - 20 Qs
d) General knowledge - 35 Qs

The General Knowledge area will cover the following fields of knowledge:
  1. Current Events of National and  International Importance
  2. General Science
  3. History of India
  4. Geography
  5. Indian Polity & Economy.
Standard of questions will be as may be expected of a graduate who has not made any special study in any of the areas given above.

For LLB (Hons) 5 year Integrated -

a) Legal Aptitude - 20 Qs
b) Reasoning - 20 Qs
c) General English - 20 Qs
d) General Hindi - 20 Qs
e) General Knowledge - 20 Qs

The General Knowledge area will cover the following fields of knowledge:-
  1. Current Events of National and International Importance
  2. General Science
  3. History of India
  4. Geography
  5. Indian Polity & Economy
N.B.: The standard of questions will be that of 12th standard as prescribed by the Board of School of Education, Haryana.

There shall be no negative marking.
